Lucozade first came to my attention many years ago, when I was just a wee bonnie thing in need of a pick me up whenever I was unwell. On surveying newspaper headlines this week,I would suggest some lucozade for the finance world. Merrill Lynch swallowed whole by bank of America! Lehman Brothers bankrupt! Bear Sterns a mere shadow player, who's next I wonder. Today the Bank of England put $40 billion dollars into money markets to keep things stable. Apparently this has not gone unnoticed around the financial globe. Seems like lots of other countries have done the same. I bet eunochs around the planet are laughing as we speak!! After all they don't need viagra do they!!

Well viewers, I have finished yet another successful night shift, and now have the benefit of a three day period of doing jack shit hooray, a well earned rest. Last night was typically quiet and one which afforded me the opportunity of watching 6 black and white Sherlock Holmes films, the best part of this is that I got paid for doing it hehehe....

My main love in life is movies, the joy of cinema still holds a charm for me, which judging by the ever increasing size of my dvd collection, says a lot about my ability to entertain at dinner parties.
My recommendation this week film wise would have to be 'Bridge on the River Kwai' an oscar winning epic directed by David Lean and starring such stalwarts of British cinema as Alec Guinness, Jack Hawkins, Geoffrey Horne. Ably accompanied by William Holden ah yes those were the days, when history could be bastardized with a stiff upper lip and no one really gave a shit, why? Because it would have been terribly bad form old boy. A gripping yarn nevertheless so get it and enjoy...

Hi all, another night shift another drachma. Yet again my flabber is ghasted by the vile machinations of my evil co-workers. Both Tom and I have agreed to agree that we are both truly fed up at work and generally unnappreciated in our time. What all this means I have no idea, I suspect it means we both pissed off at work at the moment

Hi it's lil old me. I'm on night shift, made easier this evening as we have just had one of our more problematic individuals transferred elsewhere. Which means less paperwork for e and more inane rantings for you. Still every cloud has a silver lining, today I got what every budding artist wants, a canvas to paint with, now all I need is some paint and the subject... All will be revealed tune in later in case i get bored as i often do, especially when i have little else to occupy my mind..

I sit here in a state of complete catatonia, having just come to the end of yet another night shift, at the wonderful world of work. Destined for my bed fairly shortly, into the land of the nodderslies

I recently went to Germany with my friend Tom, we had both been entered by my Father ( who lives in Germany) into a log sawing competition. Therefore with the courage of a pair of neutered lemmings we set off on our travels to do battle with the locals weilding nothing but a band saw and precious little knowledge of log sawing... Our journey began in Stoke on Trent, Hanley bus depot, fuelled with two cheese oatcakes and half a kilo of pure melted grease we waited for our national express coach. We only had the best part of a days travel to look forward to............ To be continued
